Who Are Some Good Christian Music Artist?

I am searching for song Christian music that is of good musical quality. I like jam band music, rock, and other music that is of good quality. I would love to find a Christian band playing in the jam band style. I like artist like Dave Matthews, Ben Harper, The Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers, etc. I would love if I could find a Christian artist that has music like that. Thanks for your help.

    Some of David Phelps’ music would fit. There are a ton of videos on Youtube by him. Not all of his stuff would fit the genre, but he is one of the most awesome Christian musicians around right now.

    The New Age Contemporary Church and its Contemporary Christian Music(CCM) should be looked upon with a raised brow and be scrutinized to see if it holds up to Jesus Christs words and admonishions both in practice and principle. One can fairly paint the entire spectrum of this New Age Movement as somewhat void of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what He has done. Yes, there are are exceptions but one should not hang their hat on exceptions while being bedfellows with worldly views, music and lusts which permeate much of CCM either directly or by association.
    At it’s core the content of New Age Christianity and CCM is this;
    * Less Jesus Christ
    * Less Gospel
    * Less Christian doctrine
    * Less scripture
    CCM is often written by unchurched, unscholared and Biblically ignorant ‘artists’ that may not even be Christian at all. This musics general disposition is one of- “we are humans living a real fleshly life and want to express to a generic god how great that he is and how he has made our lives better here on earth”.
    But real Christian music is written mostly by churched, religiously trained Christians bent on doctrinally accurate lyrics usually containing actual scripture who’s perspective is one of- “Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh and has died for me, not because of anything that I have done but what He has done for me according to the Will of the Father”.
    CCM is about us and our response to god but real Christian music is about what Jesus Christ has done for us. CCM is about me, myself and I while true Gospel music is about Jesus, the Father and His Word.
    Many CCM artists are actually secularists with hidden satanic references, pictographs or rituals on their album covers or in their music.
    Here are some quotes from CCM artist Amy Grant.
    “I’m a singer, not a preacher. I’M NOT LOOKING TO CONVERT ANYBODY. I feel people come to hear my music, not to hear me talk” (Amy Grant, St. Petersburg Times, Florida, April 7, 1984, p. 4).
    “I don’t feel like it’s my mission in life to preach to people. I feel like it’s just my gift to communicate life as I see it” (Amy Grant, Family Weekly, August 11, 1985).
    “If an audience feels I’ve walked away from God because I no longer talk about Him onstage, then that’s their loss” (Amy Grant, Ibid.).
    And finally, the secular world doesn’t have a problem with the Contemporary Christian Church or its music. Simply because they do not worship Jesus Christ. Turn on the T.V. and watch a 30 minute episode of the most popular preacher in America, Joel Osteen. Aside from the opening and closing prayer see how many times that you hear anything about Jesus Christ, the cross or any other recognizable Christian doctrine. Remember, Satan doesn’t dress up in a red suit with Trident in hand. No, he appears to be good and to make the Christian to just miss the mark of a Christian life. Satan wants everyone to be healthy and happy and prosperous. He wants the whole world and its children to be in church on Sunday mornings where Jesus Christ is not preached.
    CCM is a movement. A movement away from the divisiveness and bitterness of the name Jesus and His Gospel. CCM is a movement towards self improvent and fulfillment and self expression. To do what feels and seems good in concert with the betterment of our everyday life. A movement towards inclusiveness and understanding which is what pop culture teaches us and not recognition and understanding of the creator and the agonies of His Son Jesus Christ.
